Tryst with destiny is one of great speeches of 20th century this world ever seen deliver by India's first prime minister Jawaharlal lal Nehru.

This phrase means- Independence of India destined to happen.

When a nation becomes independent, it is truly a meeting with destiny as that nation will be in control of its future and not subject to external rule
