A Night to Forget by Stan Barstow is a drama which talks about stage fright.  The protagonist named Albert will be giving his first performance as a Policeman on the stage and he starts shivering.  His director Mrs.Bostock tries all sorts of method to make him relax but he does not relax and shivers more.  At last, she advises him to take the wings.  She knew that he would relax once he starts to watch the play and get into it.  She was right, he starts to enjoy the play and when his turn came he was not novice but a real protagonist.

This is a story about a man namedAlbert royston who had to performe a play on a stage . As it was his frist stage performance , he was very nervouse and suddely ,was seized by an appling stage fright . Mrs. Boystock ,tried her best to make him feel confident enough so that he could perform on the stage without any nerve. While his play was going on , and his turn was just about to come , he was shivering and was very frightened . Suddenly, he realised that he was no more nervous and was confident , and no longer he was a frightened armateur shivering in the wings . His play was about two brothers , Tom and Paul. Then the plays goes as follows .They both were discusssing about an accident that was done by Paul . Paul was begging for hel by asking Tom to help him for his fathers sake . He said that what if his father would know that he could not stand in his condition . This meant that his father was sick . Tom was thinking of helping the injured by taking him to the hospital ,but Paul said that the accident ocuured an hour ago and by that time somone must have found the injured,perhaps the police. And after that , they both started abusing each other. Then suddenly Albert recognised something very unexpected. He saw that.....the two acors on the stage had skipped thre pages.Albert's part was in one of those three pages . So it meant that thay had missed gis part right out.
