On last summer vacation we spent a day at the Hawk’s Bay with some of our friends. Hawk’s Bay is at a distance of eight kilometers from our residence. We all decided to go by taxi. It was a happy union. We set out for the sea-side merrily and cheerfully. The weather was pleasant. Cold wind was blowing. The sky was partially overcast.
By the time the sun grew hot, we decided to come out of our hut. There was a huge crowd there, All were enjoying to their best. We wandered on the sea shore and collected pebbles and shell. We enjoyed rowing in a boat. It was a very pleasant experience. On the next occasion we bathed in water for about an hour. We played various types of games while we were in the water. We had brought a rubber canoe along with us. Some of us took that out and filled it with air and started rowing against the on-coming wave. Very swiftly time was passing and we felt hungry.

The day was bright and sunny. It was ideal for a picnic by the sea. We quickly packed some refreshments and swimming costumes, not forgetting our cameras and deck chairs.
The open-air temperature was progressively starting to plunge down and the traffic lanes were starting to get narrower which was a sign that we were close to the seaside. We parked our car into the parking spot and started walking across the black asphalt, which emanated heat from the sun.
Walking forward I overwhelmingly could see the clear water, which was rich arcane blue in color. As soon as I kept my feet on the silt white sand I could sense the sand burning my feet. I could hear the sound of waves colliding and feel the unruffled sea breeze grooming by. The beach was swarming with people as I looked around my surroundings.
The white, sandy beach was full of tiny crabs scurrying about. My sister and I could not resist catching them.
Then we sat on the beach and ate sandwiches, cookies, peanuts and fruit followed by iced drinks. It was enjoyable day by the sea as it was a welcome change from our usual busy and monotonous routine in the city.
