1st para-
India is a secular democracy. This means that all religions are equally respected, and every person is free to follow any religion they want.
The most prominent personalities of India who serve with excellency is their field of work with dedication, and hard work earns this award.
India currently has 28 states and 8 union territories, 2 major languages, and 22 officially recognized state lased languages. India is called a subcontinent and is peninsular with three major water bodies covering it on three sides, namely the Bay of Bengal, The Arabian Sea, and the Great Indian Ocean. British were the colonial rulers of India and ruled the country for 200 years. It started with East India Company coming to trade in India and capturing Calcutta to seize power to generate more profit. This spread slowly, and India came under the control of the British Queen in the year 1858. India ranks second in possessing the world’s largest army after China. Its FPF rank drops to fourth place as the USA and Russia are over China and India in that aspect.

India is one of the youngest superpowers in the world. The National bird of India is the peacock, which has a very colourful and beautiful tail. The national flower of India is Lotus. Lotus comes in many colours, white and pink being prominent. The National animal of India is the Royal Bengal tiger. It is very powerful and majestic to look at. The national anthem of India is ‘Jana Gana Mana.’ Its approximate playing time is 52 seconds. The national song of India is Vande Mataram, written by Bankimchandra Chatterji and was sung in the 1896 session of the Indian National Congress. The national insects of India are the Papilionidae or swallowtails. The national aquatic animal of India is South Asian Dolphin. The national reptile of India is King Cobra, also known as the ‘king of snakes. The national fruit of India is Mango, also called the ‘King of Fruits.’

India is a beautiful country and famous all over the world for its unique cultures and traditions. It is famous for its historical heritages and monuments. Citizens here are very polite and understanding in nature. It was a slave country earlier to the 1947 under the British rule.
However, after many years of hard struggles and sacrifices of the great Indian freedom fighters, India got freedom from the British rule in 1947. Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru became the first Prime Minister of India and hoisted the Indian flag when India got freedom and he proclaimed that “When the world sleeps, India will wake to life and freedom”.
India is a democratic country where its public are authorized to take decisions for the betterment of the country. India is a famous country for the saying “Unity in Diversity” because people of many religions, castes, culture and tradition live together with unity. Most of the Indian heritages and monuments have been added to the world heritage sites.
