Today, technology has revolutionized education & Shiva Shiksha Sadan is keeping pace with the latest technological advances. The school has a Junior Infotech Lab, which is air conditioned and fully equipped with adequate number of terminals with latest configuration and more than 25 computers with Internet connectivity for the use of students, teachers and staff working in Shiva Shiksha sadan. The School has successfully incorporated technology in the Lab as a learning tool for students and as a teaching tool for teachers. The school has a policy of one computer per child and the school computer lab is adequately equipped for the same.
Software applications such as Word Processor, Ms Excel are often taught in computer technology environment in school. In III- V grades, Students are required to do programming at small levels which develop their concept of programming and logical thinking. The school cadence that children must be computer literate and confident with technology so they are not left in the dark ages.Teachers demonstrate lessons to the entire class using projection technology to incorporate graphics such as picture, video and allowing greater opportunities than those available on the traditional chalk or white boards.
The students are kept well informed through PPT’s by the teachers about the advancement in technology. Our school has a schedule that allows each class to visit the lab twice a week.Each student can work on a different assignment in a different program or, with the proper software, a teacher can direct all children to work on a particular skill with the comfort of knowing that each is working at their own pace and on an appropriate level.
