parallel sides of a trapezium are 40 and 100 m.the non parallel sides are 52 and 56 m resp. what is the area of the trapezium.

Area of trapezium = 1/2(sum of parallel sides) × distance between them
= 1/2 × (100 + 40)×44.8
= 3136m²
-----in the picture shown above y is 44.8, and not 224
