Answer:

                 HARMFUL MARKS COMPARISON TENDENCY

For some time now parents have been obsessed with a tendency of comparing the marks scored by their children to those of their neighbors children including other children they barely know.

Parents should keep it in mind that various children have different learning abilities. Slow learners will tend to score low marks while we will have learners who get to grasp content taught in class by their teachers.

Comparing children performance on the basis of marks leads to further poor performance and therefore the parents should leave the job of comparison to teachers who get to understand each students capability and who come up with resolutions to poor performance.
