The above statement view on the perspective of parents are absolutely correct. Childhood is the age when children are like wet clay, they get shaped inti what they see, feel or experience. Therefore in this stage they need a firm guidance which they get from their parents or their teachers. Sometimes their friends can be misleading too. Therefore each and every major decision in a child's life should be made on his own but it should be made sure that it's well discussed and planned with someone elder.
