Parna and Piyush do a job together in 4 days. If piyush work alone, it will take 6 days more than the time it takes form parna. If parna work alone, how long will the work last​

a + b complete a work in 4 days

b completes the same work in 6 days

time taken by a to complete the same work =?

∴ a+b's one day work = 1/4 (part of work completed in two days)

∴b's one day work = 1/6 days

∴let a's one day work be 'x'

∴1/6 + x = 1/4

x = 1/4 - 1/6

  LCM of the denominators is 12

∴ 3/12 - 2/12 = 1/12

∴ a's one day work = 1/12

Thus, Parna takes 12 days to complete her work
