Parochialisation means having a narrow-minded thinking and when this same approach is used as a negative thinking then this is known as universalism. This term was originated from the Latin word Parochia which means parish which is a part of a church.
So the decisions made in Parish are more locally rather than universal and what is better for the society, this term is also used politically when the Government takes the decisions in the interest of the general public rather than based on the whole country, for instance, a decision can be taken for the people of Mumbai rather than whole India, this is how it works.
This approach can keep the country from being one strong nation because different rules and regulations are practiced throughout.
