Perform the following activity and critically observe the changes occurring
therein.

Activity Instructions:
1. Take 250 ml of milk at room temperature in a small
bowl
2. Add y teaspoon of curd to it and stir it well
3. Cover the bowl and leave aside undisturbed
for 6-8 hours.
4. After this observe the change that has taken
place.
5. Then take % of the matter from the bowl and
keep it in open for 2 hours and observe.
Record your observations by answering the following
questions using the experience of your elders. You can use
information from media sources. Present it as a comprehensive REPORT:
a. What changes did you observe in 6 hours?
b. Explain in detail the reason for this change.
c. Which microorganism is responsible for bringing out this change?
d. What change occurred when % of the matter was kept in open for 2 hours?
Is this change desirable or undesirable? If it is undesirable, how can you prevent
