particle is moving in a circular path of radius r. The displacement after half a circle would be:

after half a circle the particle will reach a point that is diameterically opposite to initial point....i.e. total displacement=shortest distance between initial and final position i.e. diameter or 2r

It should be 2r as displacement is the shortest distance b/w two points and 2r is also the diameter of the circular path.
