Yes, Steam at 373K or 100°c is more energetic or can give more serious burns than water at 373 K.

This is because of Latent heat of vaporization.

Latent heat of vaporization is the heat which is given to the liquid to change its property from liquid to Steam without changing its temperature.

So,

Steam has that extra heat which is given to it for becoming the steam but boiling water at 373 K does not have Latent heat of vaporization.

This is why Steam has extra energy.
