The Parts of brain are as follows :-
•Hind Brain
•Mid Brain
•Hypothallamus
______________________________________
•Hind Brain :- It is the part of Central Nervous System (C.N.S) that found in vertibrates. It is also the lower part Of the brain. It controls functions like heartbeat and respiration.
______________________________________
•Mid Brain :- It is responsible for the movement of eyes and visual processing. The spinal cord receives signal messeges and transfered it to the mid brain.
______________________________________
•Hypothallamus :- It is the smallest region of the brain. located at the lower part of the brain it helps in regulating body temperature and releasing of hormones.

Brain
- Brain is the principal organ of Central Nervous System of Humans
- It weighs around 6 Kg
- In Homo sapiens,it is reported that brain occupies around 1200cm² while in that of Homo Neanderthalasis,it is 1600cm³
- In modern humans, brain is divided into two hemispheres known as Celebral Hemispheres, which are connected by Corpus Callosum
Protection of Brain
- Brain in humans is present in a bony box called Cranium or Skull, which protects it from Mechanical Injury
- Brain is also surrounded by three membranous layers called Meninges. The first layer is called Dura Mater, the second one being Arachnoid Mater and Pia Mater
- Fluid called Cerebrospinal Fluid exists between the three layers of Meninges, which protects the brain from any mechanical injury or shock
Parts
Brain is broadly divided into Front Brain,Mid Brain and Hind Brain
Front Brain
Fore brain consists of Cerebrum,Diencephalon and Hypothalamus
Cerebrum
- The largest part of Brain
- Centre of auditory, sight, gustatory and olfacto reflexes
- Controls many voluntary actions
Hypothalamus
- Temperature regulation of the body
Diencephalon
- Houses the pituitary gland
Mid Brain
- Connects the Front Brain to Hind Brain through Cerebral Peduncles
Hind Brain
Posterior most part of the Brain
Consists of Cerebellum, Medulla and Pons
Cerebellum
- Second largest part of the brain
- Maintains equilibrium of the body
- Involved in many involuntary actions of the body
Medulla
- MedullaRegulates involuntary functions like sneezing and vomiting
- Causes sensations like Nausea
Medulla thus terminates into the spinal cord which extends till the lumbar region
On the basis of lobes,
- Frontal Lobe : The forehead
- Parietal Lobe : The roof of brain
- Temporal Lobe : Sides of the skull
- Occipital Lobe : The back most part of cranium
