Yes he was thinking of doing thatt because before working in a company he was a small actor and do acting in shiws as people came to watch his acting . After getting resignation letter from he has done many work to earn money. Later he got offer he think that he could make money from it but before doing that act he realised the words of his guru and recognised that he is doing acting as its his passion so he didnt take the money and went away as he was feeling much happier than before.
