Paulo makes the argument that the asteroid strike that likely contributed to the extinction of the dinosaurs was a short-tem environmental change because it happened so quickly. Which is the best analysis of Paulo’s position? He is correct; it happened in just a few seconds. He is correct; it did not cause any long-term changes. He is incorrect; it caused long-term changes. The best analysis of Paulo's analysis is that - He is INCORRECT as it caused long term changes because -

1. When EXTINCTION occurs, the species that gets extinct make alterations in the environment.

2. The NEW species invading the land make it more for for itself and LESS for for the others to survive and hence EXTINCTION occurs.

3. The extinction of dinosaurs must have been COUPLED with the invasion of other species also leading to long term changes and so that is why HUMANS are present on earth today, as a RESULT of those long term changes.
