Pawan had ₹500 left after spending 60% of his money. How much did he have in the beginning?

Bhavyac: answer is 1250 as if we let the total money be x and the money spent=60%of x that is 60x/100 then money left =40%of x or 40x/100...... put it into the equation and solve ..... 40x/100=500,,, 40x=50000.......then x=50000/40 that is =1250 hence the answer is 1250
