father age = x years
pawan age =x/2 years

20 years ago,
father age=(x-20)
pawan agw age=(x/2-20)
given
20 years ago age of father was 6 times of son's age
x-20=6(x/2-20)

x-20=6*x/2- 6*20
x-20=3x-120
120-20=3x-x
100=2x
2x=100
x=100/2
x=50
therefore
at present
father age=x=50 years
pawan age =x/2=50/2=25 years
