As the saying goes, pen is mighter than a sword. The sonnet 'Not marble, nor the gilded monuments' well explains it . In the sonnet ,william Shakespeare describes about his piece of poetry written for his beloved friend. He explains that the monuments bulit in the rememberance of mighty kings and princes will be destroyed by the wars and over time it will become trash, but the lines written by him will remain untouched till the dooms day.
