If by a “pen robbery” you mean one in which the would-be criminal presents a demand note to his intended victim, then clearly the armed robbery, where the intended victim is threatened with some kind of weapon, is the more serious crime. But either method is likely to result in some time in the slammer for the robber. I’m hoping you have no plans to commit either of these criminal offenses.
