PH₅ does not exist but PCl₅ exists, because H is a +I (donating) group and hence, it has very less amount of energy to mix/ hybridise the orbitals and does not significantly pull the electrons

But Cl is more electronegative than P and hence, pulls the electrons significantly and hence hybridises the orbitals easily
