PEOPLE BY D.H.LAWRENCE
I like people quite well
at a little distance
I like to see them passing and passing
and going their own way
especially if I see their aloneness alive in them
Yet I don't want them to come near
If they will only leave me alone
I can still have the illusion that there is room enough in the world. Plz tell me poetic devices used in these poem and also underline those lines.

Answer:

aloneness alive (alliteration)

I like to see them passing and passing

and going their own way (imagery)

there is room enough in the world(metaphor)

Explanation:

Alliteration is derived from the Latin phrase littera, which means "letter of the alphabet." It's the repeated sound at the start of a sentence. Consider the brands Dunkin' Donuts and Krispy Kreme. You're more likely to recall them. Similarly, because the repeating sound is often pleasurable to hear out loud, poetry can become more musical and memorable.

Imagery literally means "image-producing language." I could tell you it's raining outside, or I could describe the sound of heavy rain on the metal roof and the smell of damp earth. This not only creates a more striking image of the scene, but it also elicits certain emotions associated with what your senses imagine.

A metaphor is a figure of speech that describes an object or action in a way that isn't literally true but aids in explaining an idea or drawing a comparison.
