people carry pots full of water or load on the thick piece of cloth on their head. why? ?plzz give proper reasons....

People carry pots full of water on load on the thick piece of cloth on their head in order to decrease the area of contact with their heads. Pressure applied on the head can be defined as Thrust (force) of the water in the pot on the head upon area on which it is placed (that is the head). It will apply less pressure and the pot of water can be carried easily .

Thick cloth increses the surface area as its flat and as u know pressure is indirectly proprtional to area so more area less pressure and vice versa thus making comfortable for a pot lifter
