-Development is a status where one person can satisfy all of her basic needs

-So,Developmental Goals of different persons are different

-A labourer may desire better wage and benefits and strict labour laws,While an industrialist may desire more profits by giving less wages, benefits with the help of flexible labour laws.

-What may be developement for one may not be development or may be destruction for others

-A dam might be good for urban-dwellers and rich farmers while it is destructive for people living nearby

Answer:

Development means progress or improvement in lifestyle. Different persons can have different developmental goals. What may be development for one may not be development for another. A  girl expects as much freedom and opportunity as her brother, and that he also shares in the household work. Her brother may not like this. Similarly, to get more electricity, industrialists may want more dams. but this may submerge the land and disrupt the lives of people who are displaced- such as tribal.

Hope it helps!
