Percentage error in measurement of mass and radius of a solid sphere are 0.5% and 0.3% respectively. What is percentage error in the measurement of its density?

Where I is moment of inertia

M is the mass of sphere

R is the raidus of sphere.

For finding error in inertia , formula will be

∆I/I = 2∆R/R + ∆M/M

∆/l × 100 = 2{∆R/R × 100} + ∆M/M × 100

% in inertia = 2 × % in radius + % in mass

= 2 × 2 % + 1 %

= 5 %
