perimeter and area of the rectangle are 28 mts and 40 meter square then find the length and bredth

Let length be l 
and, breadth be b

We have, 2(l+b) = 28
              so, l+b = 14 
           so, b = 14-l ........................................(1) 

And, l*b = 40
     By Eqn (1)

        l(14-l) = 40
       -l² + 14l - 40 = 0 
        so, l²-14l + 40 = 0
            l²-10l-4l + 40 = 0
         l(l-10) -4(l-10) = 0 
       so, l = 4,10
Hence, b = 10,4

So, We conclude that length and breadth are 10 cm and 4 cm
