Dimensions of the parallelogram:

Let one side = x cm

Second side = ( x + 25 )cm

Perimeter (P) = 150cm

=> 2(x+x+25) = 150

=> 2x+25 = 150/2

=> 2x + 25 = 75

=> 2x = 75 - 25

=> x = 50/2

=> x = 25

Therefore,

One side = x = 25cm

second side = x + 25

= 25 + 25

= 50 cm

We know that ,

In a parallelogram opposite

sides are equal.

length of all sides are ,

25cm , 50cm ,25cm , 50cm

Solution :-

First of all we need to know that what is parallelogram ?

» Parallelogram is a quadrilateral in which opposite sides are parallel to each other .

Let us see some Properties of Parallelogram :-

▪️ Opposite sides are congruent to each other i.e they have same length.

▪️ Opposite angles are congruent to each other .

▪️ Diagonals bisect each other .

▪️ Each of the Diagonals divide the parallelogram into two congruent triangle.

Now solving the problem :-

Given that

Perimeter = 150 cm

One side is greater than other by 25 cm

Now let the smaller side be x cm

Then other side = (x + 25) cm

Now from the property of the parallelogram :-

Opposite sides are equal

→ Two of the sides = 2x

→ Two of the sides = 2(x + 25)

Now by solving it further

→ 2x + 2(x + 25) = 150

→ 2x + 2x + 50 = 150

→ 4x = 150 - 50

→ 4x = 100

→ x = 25 cm

and other side = x + 25

= 50 cm

Lengths of all sides of parallelogram are 50cm , 25cm , 50cm and 25cm.
