2(l+b) = 4*side

2(20+16)=4*side

72 =4*side

side= 18cm

Hence the side of square is 18cm

now area of rectangle = l*b = 20*16=320cm²

and area of square =side * side =18*18 =324cm²

difference in area = 324 -320 =4cm²
