Given :-

Perimeter = 230cm

Length = 70cm

To find :- Breadth and Area.

Perimeter of a rectangle = 2(l+b)

[l= length and b = breadth]

let breadth be 'b' cm.

substituting the values,

230 = 2(70+b)

\dfrac{230}{2} = (70+b)

115 = 70 +b

115 -70 = b

45 = b

Hence breadth is 45cm

Area of rectangle = length × breadth

Area = 70 × 45

Area = 3150cm²

Some more formulas:

Perimeter of triangle = sum of sides

Area of triangle = \dfrac{1}{2} × base × height

Perimeter of square = 4 × side

Area of square = (side)²

Perimeter of parallelogram = 2(base+height)

Area of parallelogram = base × height

Perimeter of rhombus = 4 × side

Area of rhombus = \dfrac{1}{2}  × Diagonal 1 × Diagonal 2
