Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

The area of a rectangle  is 567 sq. cm   and its perimeter is 96cm.

let l cm be the length and b cm be the breadth.

Area of rectangle = Length × Breadth

567 sq. cm = l×b

l = 567/b

Perimeter of rectangle =2(length+breadth)

96 = 2(l+b)

from eq. (1)

96 = 2(567/b + b)

48 = (567/b + b)

48 = (567 + b2)/b

48b =  (567 + b2)

b2 - 48b + 567 = 0

b2 - 27b - 21b + 567 = 0

b(b - 27) - 21(b - 27) = 0

(b - 27) (b - 21) = 0

b = 27cm then l = 21cm

Hence,

Length is 21cm and Breadth is 27cm.
