Step-by-step explanation:

Let the breadth be x metre

So, length= (2×x+2) metre

= 2x+2 m

Perimeter is 84 m

By condition,

2×(L+B) = 84

2×{(2x+2)+x} =84

4x+4+2x=84

4x+2x= 84-4

6x=80

x= 80/6

x= 40/3

Breadth= 40/3 metre

Length= (2×40/3+2) metre

= (80/3+2)metre

=(80+240/3) metre

= 320/3 metre

Given

  • Perimeter of swimming pool = 84 m
  • Length is 2 metre more than twice of width .

To find

  • Length and breadth of pool

Solution :-

Let's assume that breadth of pool is x metre .

So according to the question length will be .

Length = 2 metre + 2[ breadth ]

Length = 2 + 2x metre .

\boxed{\sf{Perimeter = 2[ length + breadth ]  }}\\

Using this formula :-

\sf{ \implies 2[2+2x+x]= 84 } \\

\sf{\implies 2[2+3x] = 84} \\

\sf{\implies 4 + 6x = 84 }\\

\sf{\implies 6x = 84 - 4 \rightarrow 80 }\\

\sf{\implies x = \frac{80}{6} \rightarrow 13.34 m}\\

Breadth = 13.34 m approx

Length = 2 + [13.34]2

Length = 2 + 26.68 = 28.68

Length = 28.68 and Breadth = 13.34. approx
