perimeter of a square is 5 m more than 7/9 of the perimeter of rectangle, if perimeter of square is 40m, then find the length and breadth of rectangle. if breath of the rectangle is 1/2 of its length.

let length of rectangle = x and breadth = x/2

perimeter of rectangle = 3x/2

7/9th perimeter of rectangle = 21x / 18 = 7x / 6

7x/6 + 5 m = 40 m

7x/6 = 35

x = 35×6/7

x = 30 m

therefore length = 30 m

and breadth = 15 m
