let the side be x

x+x+x=24

3x=24

x=8

hence the side is 8cm

Area = √3/4 × side²

area = \frac{ \sqrt{3} }{4} \times 64

area = \sqrt{3} \times 16

area = 16 \sqrt{3} {cm}^{2}

venky3581: 48√3
arfa34: the correct answer is 16√3
