Step-by-step explanation:

perimeter of rectangle = 2(l+b)

let the breadth be b

and the length be 2b+2=40

let we put the values in formula....

2(2b+2+b)= 40

2(3b+2)=40

6b+4=40

6b=40-4

6b=36

b=36/6

b=6.....

now we find the value of its length

l=2b+2

l=2×6+2

l=12+2

l=14
