Dear Student,

● Answer -

12 cm

◆ Explanation -

Perimeter of the rhombus is -

Perimeter = 4 × s

40 = 4 × s

s = 40 / 4

s = 10 cm

As we know, diagonals of rhombus are perpendicular. Side of rhombus and half of diagonals make right angled traingle.

s^2 = (a/2)^2 + (b/2)^2

10^2 = (16/2)^2 + (b/2)^2

100 = 8^2 + b^2/4

b^2/4 = 100 - 64

b^2/4 = 36

b^2 = 36 × 4

b^2 = 144

b = 12 cm

Hence, the other diagonal of rhombus is 12 cm.

Hope this helps you. Thanks dear..
