Cobalamin or Vitamin B12 deficiency causes Pernicious Anaemia. Cyanocobalamin is the synthetic version of Cobalamin or Vitamin B12.

In Pernicious Anaemia (also known as Addison’s Anaemia), the level of red blood cells in the body goes down drastically, when it cannot absorb enough of Vitamin B12.
