Personal response question . Do yo like education system ? Why not ?

I don't like the education system in India (especially CBSE). I think there can be ‘n’ no. of suggestions depending on a person's own perspective…. I would like to highlight few points based on my personal observation.

• We teach children to become doctors, engineers, scientists. But, we forget to teach them that life is beyond a ‘degree’.

• We make them learn lot of subjects, give them elaborated notes but in the process of so much to learn and understand, the ‘why’ behind the topic is lost.

• We judge students based on their marks and percentage! Yes. No matter how much we deny, it's mostly about marks. who gets good marks is a shining star, whereas, we forget the fact that the child who gets less marks in a subject might be good at sports, or making beautiful handicrafts, or painting etc.

• We teach our kids that if they'll work hard, they'll have a better life ahead. They'll have comforts, money, and they'll have access to things they wish for. But, in this process, we make them so competitive that kids at a very young age end up losing their peace of mind. They become restless and end up cheating etc to somehow get better grades.  

• The subjects, topics, exams etc sometimes becomes too much for a child to take. As a result, he/she starts hating the subject only and just tries to focus on passing by margin.

• We forget to teach our kids that ‘your marks don't define you, rather they just define a certain part of you’.
