Let us consider "x" as the common ratio -

4 = 4x

3 = 3x

Now making an equation -

4x + 3x = 4200

7x = 4200

x = 4200/7

x = 600.

Multiplying the values with x -

→ 3x = 3 × 600 = ₹ 1800

→ 4x = 4 × 600 = ₹ 2400

\therefore∴ Peter is paying ₹ 1800 and Michael is paying ₹ 2400 every month.
