peter has 96 stamps and sam has 63 stamps . How many stamps should sam give to peter will have twice as many stamps as sam​

Answer:

10 stamps

let the stamps given by Sam is X

as per question Peter will have twice the stamps of Sam

96+ X = 2(63-X)

96+X = 126- 2X

96-126= 3X

- 30 = 3X

X = 10

as Sam is giving stamps the negative sign can be ignored
