It was 4 in the evening and Peter had just left his office. There were news reports
That strong winds would blow and a thunder storm was expected. Everyone was advised to leave office early. Peter wanted to leave earlier but an urgent work from the Head Office made him stay back for another half hour. This half hour turned out to be crucial.
Peter could see the clouds gathering fast and the skies darken. The thunder storm had gradually gathered and it looked threatening. Peter was getting nervous and was wondering whether he could beat the weather conditions and drive home. His house was a good one hour from the office and there was little chance that he would reach before the thunder storm. Just as he was contemplating as to what to do he got a call from his sister Mary, who stayed in the same place as his office. She enquired as to whether Peter reached home and when he said that he had just started she urged him to stay the night with her and leave early the next morning. I was relieved and happy as the thought did not occur to me at all. My predicament solved I rushed to Mary’s home.
