Petrol is 7 times heavy than kerosene and castrol Mobil is 18 times as heavy as kerosene. What should be the ratio of petrol and Mobil in the new mixture to get the mixture which must be 11 times as heavy as kerosene

Castro Mobil price = 18K rs per litre

Let say Petrol & Mobil ratio = P : M

then Total Mixture = P + M

Total Cost = (P + M) 11K  ( as it is 11 times as heavy as kersoene)

Total Cost = 7PK + 18MK

7PK + 18MK = (P + M) 11K

=> 7P + 18M = 11P + 11M

=> 7M = 4P

=> P/M = 7/4

=> P : M :: 7 : 4
