PH values of the above beverages:

On drinking the following beverages the value of PH papers will differ as per their acidity or basicity starting from the most acidic. Let us arrange these beverages accordingly:

  • HCL will be the most acidic and hence the pH will be 1 and it will have red color.
  • Then comes lemon juice that will have pH 2. Thus will have pink colour.
  • The pH after having tomato juice will be 4.
  • Then the pH after meal or after having coffee will be same that is 5 and the colour will be yellow.
  • Followed by carrot juice and aerated drinks which will have PH of 5.6 and 6 respectively and the colors being yellow and lime green.
  • Tap water and mouth before meal will have a pH of 7 and at last the PH of any will be most basic that is 14.
