yes you take phenol and ccl4 and 3koh and in which 3kcl remove and 3oh is attached on phenol after this compound is unstable and in which H2o remove CooH is left and salicylic acid is formed

It is a remann temann reaction in which we take phenol +ccl4+KOH and it give salicylic acid
