Because in Phenol, the Resonance of Benzene ring stabilise the -(OH) group.
while in Alcohol, their is no such effect in the -(OH) group.
★For Acidic, 1st check where the -(OH) group is more stable.
i.e., where the "O-", is more stable.
Because -(OH) group from Benzene on giving the "H+", will become "O-", and this "O-" is Resonance Stabilises.
While in Alcohol, the resonance effect is absent -(OH).
Thankyou!!!
