Photosynthesis in an aquatic plant was measured by counting the number of o2 bubbles coming out of the cut end of the plant. What will happen to o2 production if you use a pipe to blow air from your mouth in the beaker?

Photosynthesis is carried out in the presence of light, water and chlorophyll. The by-product of the reaction is oxygen which is released out in the form of bubbles. So, air from mouth contains CO2 which is utilised in photosynthesis. Hence, there is an increase in O2 production.
