Photosynthesis, the process by which green plants and certain other organisms transform light energy into chemical energy. During photosynthesis in green plants, light energy is captured and used to convert water, carbon dioxide, and minerals into oxygen and energy-rich organic compounds.

  • Photosynthesis is a day phenomena. It basically takes place at the day time, in the presence of Sunshine.
  • It is basically a process by the virtue of which plants kinda "breathe" or respire.
  • Plants inhale CO2 from environment and in presence of sunlight they break it into more simpler compounds(called glucose) and exhale out O2. And this process is called Photosynthesis.
