A train is moving on a horizontal rails with uniform acceleration a. A passenger sitting in a boggie drops a stone inside the boggie. What will be the acceleration of the stone 1) w.r.t. Rails 2) w.r.t. boggie?

1) w.r.t to rails it will have an acceleration.

2) w.r.t to boggie it will have 0 acceleration.

Horizontal acceleration V due to the motion of carriage. and

Vertical acceleration of the stone w.r.t the carriage.

Respect to the rails the acceleration of stone will be the resultant of two different acceleration a and g.

g is gravity

the acceleration are purpendicular to each other

 \sqrt{a {}^{2} } + g {}^{2}

The net acceleration of the stone with respect .
