     speed =distance /time

                 = 40m / 40s

      speed  =1m/s

total time = 2min 20 sec              , 2 x 60 =120

                 = 120+20 =140s

speed 1 m/s

speed = distance/time   so, distance = speed  x time

                                                             =140m
