Answer:

For a diode to be in forward bias, so that the current flows through the diode, the potential difference difference across the diode should be such that the lower potential is at the negative terminal of the diode which is represented as | and the higher potential is at the positive terminal of the diode which is represented as the triangle side.

So, In option (1) this is not obeyed since 0 is at negative terminal and -2 which is less than 0 is at positive terminal of the diode and hence this will be reverse bias for the diode.

Similarly check for other options and it's clear that all the other options namely b,c and d obey the conditions required for forward bias of diode.
