The equivalent resistance of each parallel branch

Rₑq1= \frac{R R }{R + R}  =  \frac{R}{2}

Now

Rₑq2 = ( \frac{ (\frac{R}{2})( \frac{R}{2} +R +  \frac{R}{2}  )  }{ (\frac{R}{2}) + ( \frac{R}{2} +R +  \frac{R}{2})} )

 \frac{( \frac{R}{2} )(2R)}{(\frac{R}{2} ) + (2R)}  =  \frac{2R}{5}

Rₑq3 =  \frac{R}{2}  +  \frac{2R}{5}  +  \frac{R}{2}  =  \frac{7R}{5}

Thus,

Rₐₑ =  \frac{R( \frac{7R}{5}) }{R +  \frac{7R}{5} }  =  \frac{7}{12} R
